Can a retainer fix slightly crooked teeth?

I had braces on 6 years ago and since then my wisdom teeth have grown so bad they pushed my once straight teeth slightly out of alignment. I just got the wisdom teeth out and the oral surgeon told me that a retainer wont fix them id need braces again? Does anyone know of this?

Can a retainer fix slightly crooked teeth?
sry it doesn't
Reply:A retainer is used to keep teeth from shifting back once braces have done their job. It won't fix the alignment of crooked teeth.
Reply:You definetely should seek the opinion of an Orthodontist not an Oral Surgeon. It's possible a retainer could help make them straight again but only a specialist can determine the severity of shifting and trmt. needed.
Reply:your orthodontist will push you to get braces, however, i am 15 and i have spent alot of time arguing with my orthodontist over a subject similar to this. you only truthfully need braces for a couple months and this should only cost under 2500. as soon as your teeth look mostly straight, make him take the braces off and give you a clear retainor that will finish the job. he wont give in eventually cause he wants his easy money, but trust me, this is all possible.

  1. Just received a cheque for over $500.

Sometimes people don't believe me when I tell them about how much money you can make by taking paid surveys from home...

So I show them a video of myself getting paid $500 for filling paid surveys.
