My teeth are crooked because I forgot to wear my retainers and i was wondering can the orthodontist adjust it?

Yes as the title says, I was wondering that since my teeth are crooked still because of forgetting to wear my retainers will the orthodontist be upset or mad at me and make me wear braces again or can retainers fix teeth into thier right place again like braces just like I asked above?





P.S. Can they adjust my retainers so they correct again and get back into their places? Another question can retainers fix teeth like braces?

Retainers are made to help teeth keep their positions after braces, not to realign the teeth. You will probably have to get braces again. I had a friends who had to have braces put back on three times because he always failed to wear his retainer.

Reply:it depends on how crooked ur teeth are whether retainers can fix them. most likely, u'll have to get braces again. wear that retainer!!
Reply:the retainer is made to hold your teeth where there are when you made the impressions, they won't change your teeth. You could try your old retainer, does it fit? If by some chance it does squeeze in wear that. If you don't have it getting a new one is not going to fix the problem.
Reply:thats what happend to me too I always forgot but it depends how bad they are you might have to get them on again..
